EXFOLIATE WITH SEA SALT
Sea salt is a great natural exfoliator for oily and dull skin. People with oily skin tend to have enlarged pores so try this simple beauty tip. After washing your face, wrap 2 to 3 ice cubes in a muslin cloth and rub it on your face for 2 -3 mins to get an instant face-lift.
Yogurt helps to gently exfoliate the skin and absorbs excess oil from the face. Apply plain yogurt on the face. Leave it for 15 minutes before washing it off with cool water. Alternately mix ground oatmeal with yogurt and apply this mixture on the face. Wash it off after 15 minutes with warm water. This refreshes dull, tired face and is also good for oily skin.
BLACK TEA – FACE MIST
Use black tea to prevent oily skin. To control oil and shine, splash or mist your face with cool black tea. Black tea works as a natural astringent.
Bring a small pot of water to a boil, add fresh neem leaves or mint leaves or tulsi leaves, let it boil for 2 minutes and then remove from heat. Drape a towel over your head and steam your face for 3 minutes. It opens up and cleanses the pores thereby preventing acne related to oily skin.
USE A PRIMER
Use a primer which is formulated for oily, acne prone skin. Never opt to use an old primer because it tends to get sticky and shinier after a few hours. A good primer acts as a good base for your makeup. It plays an important role in absorbing the oil that our glands produce. This in turn will help in making our makeup last longer on oily skin.
SET YOUR MAKEUP
Set your makeup with a makeup finishing spray. This setting spray will set your makeup and help it to last longer. It forms a barrier over your makeup and resists oil production. Just a few sprays will help set your makeup. It also prevents you looking all caked up and lets your skin breathe.
A mixture of lemon and honey is one of the simple and effective homemade beauty tips to make oily skin glow. Simply mix 1 tbsp of honey with 2 tsp of freshly squeezed lemon juice and using a cotton ball dab onto the face and neck. Massage for 3 to 4 minutes and then wash off with lukewarm water.
Use scrubs atleast 2-3 times a week. Scrubbing can give your face a matte look and decrease the oiliness.
