Acne is something we all suffer from at some or the other point of our lives (or maybe for lifetime!) and it is often accompanied by scars and spots if proper care isn’t taken. It is important that you invest in a good skin care routine especially if you have oily skin because oily skin is prone to clogged pores and acne. Investing in a good skin care routine does not necessarily mean you buy expensive skin care products, you could even make your own DIY products using super effective ingredients like witch hazel! Here is a recipe for witch hazel toner for acne and acne scars:
Witch hazel- Witch hazel has anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and skin sanitizing properties. It cleanses pores and keeps acne at bay. Witch hazel also helps prevent and treat acne scars.
Rose water- Rose water helps control shine and oiliness. It also adds a fresh brightened glow to your skin.
Tea tree oil- Tea tree oil has great anti-acne, anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties that keep your skin clear and pores unclogged.
Things you need-
- 5 tablespoons witch hazel
- ½ cup rose water
- 1 cup distilled water
- 5 drops tea tree oil
In a bowl, add witch hazel and rose water Add in distilled water and tea tree oil.
Stir and pour in a spray bottle. Use this as a regular toner 2 times a day.
