BANJARAS PREMIUM PAPAYA WATER

We all know the beauty benefits of papaya. From reducing pigmentation to hydrating the skin and making it smooth and shiny, papaya is used as an essential ingredient in skin care. I try to make papaya face packs as often as I can in my home. But peeling the whole fruit and deseeding it is kind of tiresome at times. When I spotted this Banjaras Premium Papaya Water in store, I thought it will be an easy-peasy way to incorporate papaya in my daily skin care regime. Read on to know whether it is worth it.

BANJARAS PREMIUM PAPAYA WATER

Product claims: Banjara’s Premium Papaya Water is made from purified water and enriched with the goodness of papaya oil. Applying this papaya water on the face or using it with a face pack revitalizes and gives it an even tone by removing dead skin cells and dark spots. Its nourishing formula moisturizes the skin- making it soft, smooth and supple. Regular use of papaya water reduces signs of aging such as blemishes and fine lines with a flawless glow.

Ingredients: Each 10ml contains- Papaya Extract (Carica papaya) 1%, Papaya Seed Oil (Carica papaya) 0.2%, Papaya Fragrance (Carica Papaya) 0.05%, Aqua Base Q.s.

Packaging: Banjaras Premium Papaya Water comes in a transparent plastic bottle with an orange screw cap. The mouth of the bottle has a stopper with a hole to dispense the liquid. It is compact and convenient to be carried around without leakage.

Texture: The texture is just like water, not at all sticky. The liquid appears light orange in the bottle, but when you pour it in your hands, it is colourless, just like plain water. The fragrance is very fruity, just like papaya. I love the product just for the fragrance.

My experience: I have combination skin which gets very oily in summers. I definitely need a toner or rose-water to control my pores and oil secretion. Initially, I tried using this product as a toner. But it wasn’t very effective at controlling oil. So I now use my regular toner and use this as a light moisturiser before applying sunscreen. It hydrates and nourishes the skin very well. It is non-sticky, non-greasy and gets absorbed easily. At nights, I just wash my face and apply this papaya water before going to bed. It soothes and calms the skin. Using it regularly adds a nice glow to my face and makes my skin more even toned. I also use it for mixing face packs instead of rose-water.

Pros:

  • Hydrates and nourishes skin.
  • Adds a glow and evens out skin tone.
  • Has a wonderful fruity papaya fragrance.
  • Contains benefits of papaya extract and papaya seed oil.
  • Affordable price.
  • Travel friendly packaging.

Cons:

  • Doesn’t control oil or large pores.

Realbeautyspot Rating: 4.8/5

Price and quantity: Rs.50 for 60ml

Verdict: I would say this is neither a toner nor a full-fledged moisturiser, more like a serum. Oily/combination skin people can just use this and skip moisturiser and dry skinned people can use this as a serum for extra benefits.
