Ayurvedic research on hair growth is extensive and well structured. According to Ayurveda, hair type is directly related to body type and is systematically classified into three categories; Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Each hair type has its own distinct features and hence there are multiple reasons for hair loss which vary from person to person. Ayurvedic treatment to stop hair fall aims to maintain the level of Pitta Dosha in the body with a combination of personalized diet, herbs, oil massage, yoga and meditation. Here are some of the remedies that can help combat hairfall according to Ayurveda:
ALOE VERA (KORPHAD)
Aloe Vera is rich in enzymes that support healthy hair. These proteolitic (group of enzymes that break the long chain like molecules of proteins into shorter fragments) enzymes remove dead skin cells form the scalp. This ensures that nutrients reach the hair roots. So add aloe vera juice to your daily diet for ensuring your hair gets the nutrition it needs to be healthy and beautiful.
METHI SEEDS (FENUGREEK SEEDS)
Methi is great for promoting hair growth. Take some methi and roast them. After that, grind them well. Take some warm water and make a paste of methi in water. The amount of paste you need will depend on the length of your hair. Apply the paste on your hair. Cover your hair and scalp completely. Let it stay for 20 minutes, and then wash off with cold water.

Ashwagandha is an anti-oxidant herb which gives you relief from Pitta Dosha. Take a 6 mg capsule of ashwagandha every day. It cleans up your system and gets rid of all toxins. It is also anti-inflammatory and solves a number of hair problems.
