Dark underarms are a common issue especially if you shave or use a lot of different alcohol based deodorants and whitening creams. Using deodorants daily prevents the sweat by clogging the pores which in return can lead to underarm darkening. Some of the chemical found in these deodorants are Triclosen, Phthalates, Parabens, Aluminum. These ingredients irritate the skin making it darker.
Natural home remedies certainly work better and are cheaper than any commercially available armpit whitening product. Below is how you could use vinegar for dark underarms:
- Apple cider vinegar can also help reduce dark patches and soften skin.
- It is antibacterial and anti-fungal that keeps odor-causing bacteria at bay, thus keeping your underarms fresh.
- Apple cider vinegar also smoothens armpit skin and reducing the chicken-skin texture.
