1PINEAPPLE JUICE FOR COUGH

Pineapples contain a mixture of enzymes, together known as bromelain, which has potent anti-inflammatory benefits for your body. Research has shown that pineapple can be effective in treating lung inflammation that can be caused by excessive coughing, suppressing the urge to cough more. To make your own pineapple juice cough syrup at home, simply mix 1 tbsp. of honey into 1/2 cup of pineapple juice. Making your own pineapple juice is much better than anything you can buy at a store.

2LAVENDER FOR SLEEP

Lavender has one of the most well-known sleep-inducing aromas. It’s known to slow down heart rate and lower blood pressure and stress levels. Sniffing lavender is best for relaxation and promotes sleep. This scent can trigger the body’s “rest and digest” response, promoting relaxation. While there are a lot of lavender-scented products and essential oils in the market to help you get a good night’s sleep, why not go for the most natural and cost effective option. Place a potted lavender plant near your bed or night stand.

3VICKS FOR COUGH – 

Rubbing Vicks on your feet before going to bed is the best way to get rid of a cough. Generously rub VapoRub all over your feet and cover them with socks.

4HONEY SORE THROAT REMEDY 

Honey has long been used as a sore-throat remedy. It contains antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that help to heal a sore throat. You can easily treat a sore throat by mixing some honey and lemon to half glass of Luke warm water. Drinking twice a day can improve the results.

5 HONEY FOR SLEEP

Having trouble falling asleep?  A fast-acting and beneficial sleeping solution is raw honey.  We know that honey can be as effective remedy in treating cough and cold, but studies have shown that it can also improve quality of sleep as well. Take 1-2 teaspoons of raw honey before bed to help with your sleep.

EYE MASSAGE

One of ayurveda’s most effective remedies for eyestrain and for burning eyes is massaging the scalp and feet nightly with one teaspoon of castor oil. (If the weather is hot or if you have a pitta imbalance, use brahmi or coconut oil instead.) The oil pulls heat from the eyes and promotes a sound sleep.
