Turmeric is a very common and well known herb with loads of health benefits. Turmeric is used for treating number of ailments since centuries, and it is best consumed in tea form as it gets absorbed quickly in diluted form. Here are some turmeric tea recipes you could probably try along with its benefits:

SIMPLE AND HEALTHY TURMERIC TEA RECIPES

RECIPES:

COCONUT TURMERIC TEA

To make this tea, you need 2 teaspoons freshly grated turmeric, 1/4 teaspoon fresh ginger grated, ½ cup coconut milk, 1 teaspoon pure raw honey and 2 cups of water.

Boil the water and add turmeric and ginger to it. Let it steep for 15 minutes and add coconut milk and honey to it. Mix it well and your coconut turmeric milk is ready! Do not strain and consume warm.

TURMERIC GINGER TEA

To make this tea, you need ½ teaspoon ground turmeric, ¼ teaspoon freshly grated ginger, 1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom, 2 Tablespoons of soy or almond milk, 2 cups of water and honey as per taste.

Take water in a vessel and boil it. Turn off the flame and add turmeric and grated ginger and cardamom to it. Put a lid on the vessel and let it steep for 10 minutes. Now add soy and almond milk to it and honey as per taste.

GOLDEN MILK TEA

To make this popular turmeric golden milk tea, you need 2 cups almond or coconut milk, 1 teaspoon turmeric, ½ teaspoon cinnamon and honey as per taste.

Put all the ingredients in a blender along with honey and blend it together until you get a frothy liquid. Now pour this into a vessel and heat it on medium flame, not boil it. Drink warm. This golden milk is best consumed before bedtime especially if you have cough and cold.

TURMERIC LEMON TEA

To make this turmeric lemon tea, you need 1 teaspoon ground turmeric, ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper, 1-2 cups water, 1 ½ tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice and honey as per taste.

Take water in a vessel and boil it. Put off the flame and add turmeric and black pepper to it and put a lid on it. Let it steep for 15 minutes and then add honey and lemon juice to it. Stir it well and consume.

NOTE: If you do not have many ingredients, but wish to make something for cough and cold, you could simply boil water, add turmeric powder to it and consume warm. Similarly, you could do this using milk.
