There are a lot of protein shakes available in the market but they contain synthetic ingredients too which is related to various health problems in a long run. Here are some healthy and homemade protein shake recipes:
SPINACH PROTEIN SHAKE
Things you need: To make this protein shake, you need 1 glass almond milk, 1 tablespoon flax seed powder, 1 tablespoon chia seeds and handful spinach.
Method: Add almond milk and spinach to a mixer grinder and blend it together until smooth. Make sure there are no spinach pieces in it. Now, add in flax seed powder and chia seeds and blend it again. You may add honey to it if you prefer sweet tasting shake. Your spinach protein shake is ready!
ALMOND PROTEIN SHAKE
Things you need: To make this protein shake, you need 1-2 tablespoons homemade or organic almond butter, 1 glass almond milk, 1 tablespoons chia seeds and 2 tablespoons jaggery.
Method: Add almond milk along with almond butter in a blender and blend it until smooth and frothy. You may add more almond butter if you love the nutty taste. Now add chia seeds and jaggery and blend it again until well combined. Your almond protein shake is ready! Drink fresh!
WALNUT BANANA SHAKE
Things you need: To make this shake, you need handful of walnuts, ½ apple, 1 banana and 1 cup coconut or almond milk.
Method: Add banana, coconut or almond milk, apple and walnuts in a blender and blend it until smooth. You can also add jaggery syrup, honey or brown sugar to it if you like it sweeter. Consume chilled.
ORANGE SEAWEED SHAKE
Things you need: To make this shake, you need ½ cup orange juice, ½ cup low fat Greek yogurt, ½ cup dried seaweed (softened in water overnight) and a sweetener if you like.
Method: Add seaweed and orange juice to a blender and blend it until it is smooth. Add yogurt and a sweetener of your choice. Blend it again and add more orange juice if you want to adjust consistency. Serve chilled! You may add ice cubes to it too.
RASPBERRY PROTEIN SHAKE
Things you need: To make this shake, you need 1 cup raspberries, 1 cup yogurt, ½ cup almond milk and a sweetener of your choice, maybe honey or jaggery.
Method: Add raspberries, yogurt and almond milk in a blender and blend until smooth. Add more almond milk if you prefer thin shake. Add a sweetener like honey or jaggery and blend again. Your raspberry protein shake is ready!
STRAWBERRY CASHEW SHAKE
Things you need: To make this protein shake, you need 2 cups fresh and sweet strawberries, ½ cup cashew nuts, ½ cup fresh cream and milk to adjust consistency.
Method: Add frozen strawberries, cashew nuts and cream into a blender. Blend everything well until you get a smooth and thick texture. Add milk to adjust consistency. Consume during your breakfast.
