Natural DIY shampoos work very well to prevent and treat variety of hair problems! There are people who have given up shampoos and taken up DIY hair washing methods (yes! Including me!) Rosemary or lavender oil is known for its fragrance and is very useful in treating dandruff issues as well as dry and scaly scalp. Rosemary oil will stimulate the hair follicles, as a result of which hair will grow longer and stronger.

Way to use with shampoo: Add 3-4 drops rosemary essential oil to 2 tablespoon (dollops) of herbal shampoo.


Rose water has been said to stabilize your hair’s pH balance because it is nearer to that of hair and can aid in repairing hair’s damaged porosity. It acts as an anti-inflammatory and with its natural antiseptic properties. Some even feel it promotes hair growth although there has been no scientific link proven.
