Although it is weird, the fact is that we are surrounded with several things in our surroundings like virus, bacteria, dust pollen, etc. that affects us and one result of this is constant cough and cold. Honey Cough syrup –
- Honey-8 teaspoon
- Lemon-4 teaspoon
Method: Honey and lemon are antibiotics and help to soothe the throat. Mix honey and lemon together for a simple and natural cough syrup. 1 spoon of this syrup has to be consumed when required.
Thyme tea: Thyme is used largely in Germany to get relief from cough, respiratory infections and bronchitis. This herb has little leaves that are loaded with cough calming compounds that help to relax the ileal and tracheal muscles and it decreases inflammation too.

- Lemon- few drops
Method: Thyme tea can be made by steeping around 2 spoons of crushed thyme leaves in one cup of boiling water for 10 minutes. Strain it and add lemon and a few drops of honey for flavor and also to add that extra dose of soothing for the throat.
Turmeric Cough tonic:
This is a natural and best remedy for dealing with cough. Black pepper can help in stimulating the blood circulation and mucous flow.
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 1tsp Black Pepper
- 1tsp Turmeric
Method: You can make this tea by taking freshly ground pepper, turmeric along with honey in a cup. Fill it with boiling water and allow it to steep, cover it for 15 minutes. Afterwards strain it and sip it or a simple remedy is to try the turmeric milk that is not only healthy but also delicious.
Ginger tea: Ginger happens to be the most popular natural cure for cough.
Method: To make this tea, cut a ginger into small pieces as per requirement and crush them. Put it in a cup of water and boil it well. Garlic is endowed with antibacterial and antimicrobial properties which will help in treating cough.
- Garlic- 3 cloves
- Honey – 1 spoon
Method: To make this drink, all you need to do is take 2 to 3 cloves of garlic and boil it in a cup of water. Add a teaspoon of oregano to it. Let it cool to room temperature and then add a dash of honey and sip it in. This drink will help to clear the congestion in the throat and reduce cough.
