MAKEUP SINS WE USUALLY COMMIT

We all love doing makeup 😀 The words ‘girl’ and ‘makeup’ go hand in hand. Some girls are beauty newbies whereas others are experts! Whether an experienced or newbie, we all commit makeup sins without notice. These mistakes once identified can easily be avoided. I have listed down top 5 makeup sins that we usually commit. Read below to know what they are:

MAKEUP SINS WE USUALLY COMMITWEARING A LIP LINER DARKER THAN LIPSTICK:

The duty of lip liners is to give your lip a definite shape, making lipstick application easy and to avoid lipstick smudging. I have seen girls wearing a really dark lip liner wherein the lipstick shade is lighter! This is a really bad makeup sin you could ever commit! A lip liner needs to be in a neutral shade closer to your original lip colour or of your lipstick shade.

TIP: make sure you blend your lip liner with lipstick once applied with the help of a lipstick brush or finger tips.

LIPSTICK STAINS ON TEETH:

I have seen this and trust me it looks very funny. Check out for lipstick stains on teeth specially if you have used a dark colour which can be very much visible on your teeth; for example red. Having lipstick stains on teeth can be very embarrassing. A tissue can fix this problem or it can also be removed with your index finger. Remove makeup stains from clothes >>

USING TOO MUCH EYEBROW PENCIL:

Dark and thick eyebrows look good no doubt, but only when they are natural! Proper trimming of eyebrows is the only thing needed for girls with natural dark eyebrows. Girls with light eyebrows tend to use too much of eyebrow pencil in order to darken the eyebrows and make them appear fuller and dark. But let me tell you, you only end up looking like shinchan! The only proper way to make your light eyebrows appear bold is to shape them by trimming/threading or waxing and using an eyebrow pencil which is closer to the shade of your hair. Eyebrows should frame your face and not be the centre of attraction.

SHARING MAKEUP WITH FRIENDS:

You may definitely share your secrets, joys, tears and favourite dresses with your girl pals, but NOT makeup! Next time your bestie asks to borrow your lip gloss, lipstick or slap on some of your mascara, think twice before saying yes! By sharing makeup products, you actually share germs too, and facilitate infections, especially in sensitive areas like eyes and lips. If you really must share makeup products, make sure proper hygiene is maintained and none of you is suffering for any skin problem.

SLEEPING WITH MAKEUP ON:

We all know that sleeping with makeup on is not a good habit, but we still end up doing this after a long night out or when we are too tired or lazy to go and wash our faces before hitting the bed! Occasionally skipping the skincare routine of cleansing, toning and moisturising before sleeping can be acceptable, but regularly skipping it may cause problems like hyperpigmentation, premature aging, acne due to clogged pores and even cellular damage. If you are really tired and there is no way you would wash your face, make sure you at least remove your makeup with the help of a tissue/cotton and makeup remover facilitating your skin to breathe.
