HEALTHY WAYS TO JAZZ UP YOUR MORNING COFFEE

Morning coffee can give a kick-start to your day, especially to the one who love their coffee. Coffee is soothing and warming and even if it is not the best health choice, it is good in small doses. Have you ever tried adding up spices or other ingredients to jazz up your morning coffee? Here are several ways to jazz up your coffee and make it lip smacking the healthy way:

HEALTHY MORNING COFFEECOCONUT OIL

Coconut oil is very healthy and it adds a nutty essence to the coffee. Add 1 teaspoon pure coconut oil to your morning coffee and remember to keep a spoon in the mug. You will need to stir it before you sip to avoid getting just the oil in your mouth.

CARDAMOM

Cardamom adds a rich floral flavour to your coffee. Add ground cardamom directly into the prepared hot coffee or you may also add it in the coffee maker or simmering pot. You may strain if you like.

COCOA POWDER

Adding cocoa powder is one of the most delicious ways to jazz up your coffee. You may add normal cocoa or dark cocoa powder, both work great. Just add 1 tablespoon of dark cocoa powder to the freshly brewed hot coffee. Do not try this in black coffee as it will make your coffee taste bitter, add almond milk or whipped cream to it and stir.

HAZELNUT

Hazelnuts can make your coffee taste and smell like nutella! Add 2 tablespoons of hazelnut powder to the amount of coffee powder you normally use to make 1 cup coffee. Brew your coffee with the hazelnut coffee powder and add almond milk to it.

BROWNIE CRUMBS

If you like soft chewy pieces in any drink, you should definitely add brownie crumbs. If you have a leftover brownie or chocolate cake, crumble it and add it in your final coffee. Your coffee will taste even better!

ORANGE

Oranges go well with coffee just as they go with dark chocolate. You can give a dash of orange flavour to your coffee to jazz it up. Simply add some orange extract to your freshly brewed hot coffee or add fresh zest of orange peels to the coffee while brewing and strain it.

GINGER POWDER

Ginger powder is commonly added in tea but not many have tried it in coffee. Just like it adds a sweet-spicy bite to your tea, it adds a sweet spicy kick to your coffee too. Simply add ginger powder to the coffee while you brew it.

NUTMEG

Nutmeg can add a nice sweet aroma to your coffee and also give it a sweet-nutty flavour that you would love. Add some nutmeg powder to your morning hot coffee and stir before drinking.
