Not only does rosewater have a delicate floral fragrance that won’t overpower your sensitive sinuses, it also offers a number of beauty benefits for the hair, skin and health as well. There are a lot of brands offering rosewater sprays but it is always best to make your very own spray; and all will agree to this. Here is a simple recipe for DIY Rosewater Spray:
Things you need- You need 4 ounces distilled water, 2 ounces witch hazel and 2 ounces rosewater, Rose flowers.
Method- Rose water: To make rose water, remove petals from stems and run them under luke-warm water to remove any leftover residue. Add petals to a large pot and top with enough distilled water to just cover (no more or you’ll dilute your rosewater). Over medium-low heat bring the water to a simmer and cover. Let simmer for 20-30 minutes or until petals have lost their colour and are a pale pink. Strain the mixture to separate the petals from the water. Here is your rose water.
Rosewater spray: Simply combine witch hazel with rose water and store it in a spray bottle. Shake well before use.
