Face masks are used since ages for various skin issues or just maintain healthy skin. There are tons of commercially available face masks but not all work; in fact, they contain chemicals too! Natural ingredients are the best on your skin, after all, what you eat you can put on your face too and it works wonders! Below are the best tried-and-tested DIY face masks for common skin problems:
OILY-COMBINATION SKIN
Take 3 tbsp. of gram flour and mix it with curd to make a smooth paste like a face mask. You can also add half tsp. of turmeric for added advantages. Now apply this paste on your face and neck for half an hour. This face mask will remove tan and will also prevent oil from your face. It also clears acne marks when used 2-3 times a week. ANTI-ACNE
Grab a bowl and add 1 tablespoon of nutmeg powder. Now, add in 1 teaspoon of honey followed by 2 tablespoons of milk. You can add in more milk if you feel the mask isn’t spreadable. Mix the mask really well and apply it on your skin with a brush for proper application. After 30 minutes, wet your face and massage gently. Rinse off with cold water and pat dry! PIGMENTED SKIN
Peel a potato and make piece of medium thickness. Grate the raw potato finely. Transfer into a clean bowl. To this bowl add powdered oats and honey. DRY SKIN
To make a hydrating and moisturizing mask for dry skin, mash one banana and add in little honey. Mix the two ingredients really well such that there are no banana lumps in it. Apply the mask evenly on the face and keep it for 30 minutes. Wipe it off and wash your face. You are done!
TANNED SKIN
To make this mask, mix together 2 tablespoons of orange peel powder and 1 teaspoon almond paste. Keep adding milk till a thick paste is formed. ANTI-AGING
To make this face mask, you need 1 teaspoon of fresh aloe vera gel (you may also use organic aloe vera gel that is available commercially), 1 teaspoon honey and 1 tsp of coconut oil. Mix everything together. Apply the mixture to areas where wrinkles are forming. Leave it on half an hour and then wash it off with lukewarm water. Do this once every 3 days for good results.
