COMMON SHOE MISTAKES YOU MAKE THAT ARE KILLING YOUR FEET

There are varieties of shoes we girls like to wear; if not wear daily, atleast stock up on them to wear occasionally. There are peep toes, wedges, sneakers, pencil heels etc. that look good but different varieties have their own negativity too. If not used properly, these shoes can take a toll on your feet. Apart from the damage caused by shoe varieties, some common mistakes too add on to feet problems! Here are the common shoe mistakes we make that can probably kill our feet:

COMMON SHOE MISTAKES YOU MAKE THAT ARE KILLING YOUR FEETSHOPPING ONLINE

Shopping for shoes online is the biggest mistake one can do. When we go and buy from the stores, we wear and check if the shoes are comfortable and well fitting, if the toes are not pinched or of the material does not hurt etc. When we buy online, we only depend on the external appearance. Ill fitting shoes can make your feet painful and can cause feet problems in a long run.

GOING SHOES SHOPPING IN THE MORNING

Always remember to go out in the afternoon or evening to buy new shoes. The longer you are awake and standing, blood circulates through the feet making it swell a bit. Feet are always of the smaller size in morning and if you purchase shoes in morning, it might feel tighter later in the day.

WEARING SHOES WITH NARROW TIPS

Shoes with narrow tips is a hot trend now. But make sure your shoe doesn’t pinch your toes. Even if the shoes are not narrow, some ill-fitting shoes can pinch your toes and cause pain. if you have ingrown toe nail, it will pan even more and cause pus in some cases. If you wear a shoe and find a bulge at the end, it is a sign that your toes are being pinched and will cause damage later in life.

NOT REPLACING YOUR SHOES

We all have an old shoe that we have used a lot and still have it because it is the favourite pair we own! Using the same old shoes for years and not replacing it is the biggest mistake one can do. Shoes of any kind have cushion that protect the foot and ankle and absorbs jerk and shock. With time, the cushions lose their ability of protection and become rigid. If you still use the same shoe, your foot is in danger as there is nothing to protect it. In this case, sudden jerk can hurt your leg.

USE ACTIVITY-SPECIFIC SHOES

It is important to use specific shoes meant for specific activities. Trekking shoes can only be used for trekking while running shoes are meant for running only. Similarly, you cannot use running shoes in the gym, you have to use gym-specific shoes in gym and not use it for something else. As a matter of fact, it is equal to not using party heels in office! Using wrong shoes can cause damage to your joints and feet.
