Acne is a common skin problem and we all constantly try to hide it! Treating it from the root is the best option instead of hiding it since it prevents scars and makes your skin look clear. What we put into our body is directly linked to skin’s health, good or bad first shows up on the skin. Acne can also be caused by a number of other factors like oily skin, unhygienic conditions, frequent touching, lack of skin care, hormonal imbalances, genetics, pollution etc.
Nutmeg has been an essential ingredient in the beauty regimen of Egyptian women, says a particular piece of historical study. No wonder it is quite often found as a vital ingredient in various facial lotions, scrubs, and face washes. Nutmeg can be used for eliminating the skin eruptions- breakouts and ease the inflammation and redness associated with the same. This spice is also known to be effective in eliminating blackheads.
Nutmeg is rich with antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. This makes it a wonderful solution for various inflammatory skin conditions.
Nutmeg also works as an exfoliant thanks to the minute granules that scrub off dead skin cells and cleans the pores.

Coconut Milk has oil balancing properties that help control oil secretion and also prevents acne.
RECIPE FOR DIY NUTMEG ANTI-ACNE MASK:
Things you need: To make this mask, you need 1 tablespoon nutmeg powder, 1 teaspoon of honey and 2 tablespoons or more of coconut milk to make the mask spreadable.
Method: Grab a bowl and add 1 tablespoon of nutmeg powder. Now, add in 1 teaspoon of honey followed by 2 tablespoons of milk. You can add in more milk if you feel the mask isn’t spreadable. If you have very oily skin, you can use rose water or aloe vera gel instead of milk. Mix the mask really well and apply it on your skin with a brush for proper application. Summers are really hot here in Mumbai so I prefer cold face masks; you can keep the mask in the fridge for 30 minutes before applying on a cleansed face. After 30 minutes, wet your face and massage gently. Rinse off with cold water and pat dry! Follow with a moisturizer and you are done! Use the mask 3 times a week for visible results.
